Partnership

Preserving the work of Humanities Texas through
digital experiences.

visiTOUR.US is all about preservation and history. It’s the foundation in which our platform was built. Preservation, digitization, presentation;  the system’s sole purpose is to deliver the content of a historic institution, gallery, or living history site to the public, breaking down geographic and accessibility barriers. This is a partnership that makes sense – for everyone.

visiTOUR.US Offers Vital Support to Humanities Texas Amid Federal Funding Cuts

Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), has faced significant financial challenges following the unexpected and drastic reduction of its federal funding in spring 2025.

In a timely show of support, visiTOUR.US has provided Humanities Texas with a digital experience management system that will allow the organization to expand access to online public programs exploring history, literature, and culture at no cost to the agency. The platform will enable Humanities Texas staff to digitize and distribute programs virtually using image, audio, and video content, as well as panoramic virtual imagery where appropriate.

For more than fifty years, Humanities Texas has served Texans of all ages through programs that improve classroom teaching, support libraries and museums, and create opportunities for lifelong learning. The organization has conducted and supported initiatives statewide through grants, traveling exhibitions, teacher professional development programs, and public programs focused on Texas history and culture.

visiTOUR.US recognizes the importance of public humanities programming, especially in underserved areas. By donating this platform, visiTOUR.US is helping Humanities Texas continue providing statewide access to educational and cultural programming. The partnership also reflects the value many in the private sector place on expanding access to educational and cultural resources.
