This bedroom contains items related to K. M. Van Zandt and the three women he married over his lifetime. Minerva Peete married him in 1857. A year after her death in 1868, K. M. married her sister, Mattie. In 1885, two years after the death of Mattie, he wed Octavia Pendleton. Their union lasted until his death in 1930. These three marriages produced 14 children whose descendants donated the pieces seen in this room.

Many donated Van Zandt family pieces have been used in this 21st century restoration. Modern reproductions and unrelated period artifacts fill in the gaps to give a fuller vision of typical 19th century home life.
